About Me

Being a psychologist is a role that I cherish and I feel extremely privileged to have been invited into the lives of all those I have worked with.

I have over 15 years experience of working therapeutically with adults, adolescents, children and families, both in the NHS and private practice, and therefore understand just how daunting it can feel to take that step forward with therapy. I hope that my warmth and compassion will help take some of those anxieties away.

My clinical training has given me expertise in:

  • Paediatrics

  • Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS)

  • Adult Mental Health (community and inpatient)

Alongside working for various NHS Trusts in London, Surrey and Kent, I previously worked at the Priory Hospital as lead psychologist for their Adult Asperger Unit treating those with comorbid mental health issues and also Beacon House, a specialist therapeutic services and trauma team.

I love working with adults but also have a passion for helping children and young people overcome their anxieties. Especially those experiencing emotional, psychological and/or  behavioural difficulties related to physical or medical conditions or health problems.

I have extensive experience working with children in medical settings having worked at the Evelina Children's Hospital at Guys and St Thomas'  NHS Trust in London for over 10 years. My role involved the provision of psychological assessment and intervention for specialties such as respiratory, renal, cardiology, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, endocrinology and paediatric intensive care.

I was the clinical lead for trauma at the Evelina, responsible for establishing a dedicated trauma service. I oversaw and delivered trauma provision to children, young people, parents and health care staff within the hospital.

Previously held posts include research at the Institute of Psychiatry and Kings Centre for Military Health Research. I also have close links with the Salomons Clinical Psychology Doctoral Course where I helped facilitate their Diversity in Practice teaching.
